FULL BEER DESCRIPTIONS FOR NEW RELEASES
-The Homecoming Belgian Farmhouse Saison
This being the first beer ever brewed on our new 10-barrel Metalcraft brewhouse in Fredericksburg, we went with simplicity to help us baseline the system. As a pleasant enhancement, this Belgian Farmhouse Saison has a prominent hop aroma utilizing Mosaic, Nugget, and Calypso hops. Light, approachable, and easy drinking, this beer was brewed as a homecoming, to welcome back our owner and founder Neil Burton to his hometown of Fredericksburg, Fred Vegas, and FXBG.
- Unpretentious IPA
Gearing up for the famous New England IPA’s that our head brewer Matty Eck is known for, we thought we would first come at you with quite the opposite, a fairly straightforward citrusy and fruity IPA, balanced with a mild malt character — with not even an ounce of pretension. A quintuple of hops include Mosaic, Green Bullet, Calypso, Palisade, and Nugget, which bump up the IBU’s to double sevens.
Hawaii Five-O Coconut Porter
Conceived on the beaches of Maui under a full moon, come to you this creamy porter that features coconut with a hint of vanilla. Robust yet balanced, this is one Maui Wowie you won’t mind getting busted with by Five-O.
-The Burton Threshold Belgian Tripel
A Belgian Tripel is one of our owner and founder Neil Burton’s favorite styles, and on top of that, he often likes his beer above 8% ABV. This line in the sand became the brunt of an ongoing joke during a bachelor party weekend attended by a multitude of Virginia beer celebrities, and 8% alcohol by volume respectfully came to be known as "The Burton Threshold”.
